Thanks to a North Carolina Humanities Council Relief Grant\, Greensboro Opera brought our community together in a virtual\, immersive experience focusing on the evolution of the Gershwins’ beloved Porgy and Bess from novel to play to opera. \nIn a three-part series delivered in February and March 2021\, UNCG Professor Emeritus Keith Cushman outlined the progression of this timeless tale from its beginning as novel by DuBose Heyward to its adaptation as a theatrical production and eventual operatic setting. \n\n\n\n\nWatch Now
