Young Artists Program

In 2014, Greensboro Opera received a generous special grant from ArtsGreensboro to create the Greensboro Opera Young Artist program to bring live opera/musical theatre to the Greensboro community. Three young artists were selected to work with 7th Grade students at Aycock (now Swann) Middle School over several weeks. With the guidance of the young artists, the students created and then performed their own original opera before the school, teachers, parents and the community.
